Complete your requirements and renew your broker’s license online by April 30

If you're an Illinois real estate broker and you're unsure whether you need to renew your broker's license by April 30, visit the Illinois REALTORS® Broker Renewal page for an explanation about license renewal requirements.

Step One

Download the Broker License Renewal Requirements chart and use tools on our site to help you identify your education requirements for renewal.

Step Two

Review the frequently asked questions (FAQs) and course information.

Step Three

Use Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation's (IDFPR's) license lookup to see how many hours of continuing education or post-license education you must complete to renew your license, including one hour of mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.

Step Four

Complete the courses you need - either online or in a classroom and get proof of course completion. Your courses do not have to be taken with Illinois REALTORS® but must be taken with an accredited school. Illinois REALTORS® will not have records of courses you completed with another school.

Step Five

Retain your proof of CE course completion, submit the online broker license renewal application (user ID and password required) and pay a $200 licensing fee to the IDFPR on or before April 30.
