Minister of Energy meets with German Ambassador to Azerbaijan

The Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann. The development opportunities of energy cooperation between the two countries in new directions were discussed at the meeting.

Congratulating the ambassador on his new appointment, the Minister wished success in his activities in the direction of further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.

During the meeting, the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding on strategic partnership in the energy sector signed between Azerbaijan and the European Union was touched upon, and it was emphasized that this document is a message for German companies to focus on the energy sector of Azerbaijan, especially in the field of green energy. Information was provided on renewable energy projects of Azerbaijan. It was proposed to organize German Missions to our country and companies were invited to participate in projects to be implemented in the field of renewable energy.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest on bilateral cooperation.
