Procedure of placing flag of Italy carried out in line with international protocols

The General Secretariat of the Serbian government denied today the incorrect information published in the media regarding the placing of the flag of the Republic of Italy.

We would like to underline that the procedures for placing the flag of the Republic of Italy were carried out with the utmost care and in accordance with international protocols.

The format of placing flags along highways in our country is vertical, which requires specific adaptation of the flags of all countries to this format. This method of placement was adopted to ensure uniform representation and respect for all flags, regardless of their original proportions.

We underline in particular that the colours of the flags are adapted to the technical specifications. In the case of the flag of the Republic of Italy, special attention was paid to the shade of green to ensure that it is clearly distinguishable from the shade on the flag of Hungary. This customisation is essential to preserve the identity of each flag within a given format.
