Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4 & 26

Calaveras County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) and SR-26 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows;

State Route 4

• Intermittent traffic breaks (10-minutes) from Bonanza Mine to Appaloosa Road for construction beginning Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Live Oak Drive to Pennsylvania Gulch for tree work beginning Monday, April 29, through Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 26

• Long-term one-way traffic control at South Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through Sunday, June 30, 2024.

• Long term one-way traffic control at North Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Motorists should expect five to 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
