Petrobras on sale of thermal power plant

Rio de Janeiro, November 30, 2022 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, following up on the releases disclosed on 08/14/2020 and 06/15/2020, informs that its Executive Board has approved the termination of the competitive process for the sale of the Canoas Thermoelectric Plant (UTE Canoas).

Despite the efforts made in this process, it was not possible to obtain adequate commercial conditions for the transaction, thereby opting for its termination. Petrobras will evaluate its next steps regarding the divestment of the asset.

The company continues to periodically reevaluate its portfolio of assets and reinforces its commitment to comprehensive transparency in its divestment processes and portfolio management and informs that subsequent steps will be disclosed to the market in accordance with the company's Divestment Systematics and Decree 9,188/2017.

About the Thermal Power Plant

UTE Canoas is a Petrobras asset located in the municipality of Canoas - RS. The plant is bi-fuel, and can operate with natural gas or diesel oil, with installed capacity of 249 MW.
