Pavel Zeman to join the CNB

Former Prosecutor General Pavel Zeman will focus on the legal area and cyber security at the Czech National Bank. In April 2024 he will be appointed an adviser to the CNB Governor Aleš Michl. In this role, he will draw on years of experience in top positions in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Pavel Zeman (1972) graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. He served as Prosecutor General from 2011 to 2021 and prior to that was the Czech Republic's national representative to the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) until 2010. He specialises in corporate prosecutions and is actively involved in combating cyber crime and enhancing online security. He speaks fluent English, German and French.
